The lifting mechanism used by Garador is also very well made and when properly maintained should give many years of trouble free service. However, as with all working mechanisms, if they are not regularly maintained they could fail. Normally it takes little more than regular lubrication and the occasional re-tensioning of the spring to keep them in good working order. If the spring is allowed to lose tension, the garage door will not open as easily and the garage door cables can become tangled when the door is lifted quicker than the spring can pick up the cables. This can ofton result in the anti-drop mechanism kicking -in and the garage door becoming stuck in the open position.
