Garage Door Cables Repairs. Most garage doors are very reliable but without regular maintenance even the best garage doors can fail. The majority of canopy garage doors are operated by a large overhead torsion spring and garage door cables. This spring is under extreme tension and is responsible for winding up the side cables and raising the garage door.
Over time this spring can lose tension with a number of consequences. These include not holding the garage door up in the open position and the side cables becoming slack and very often tangling. We attended a garage door repair in Tunbridge Wells where a lack of tension on the overhead spring had caused the garage door cables to wrap around the winding cones. Once the garage door cables had been released and replaced, the overhead torsion spring was re-tensioned and all working parts were lubricated.
