With so many wireless devices now in operation I have long suspected that there is interference between radio waves in the atmosphere and garage door remote controls. Many of the lower frequency garage door receivers and hand transmitters can suffer from severely reduced range or can stop working completely. Our customer in this instance was suffering from a reduced range on handsets with a low frequency. We replaced the receiver with a new higher frequency garage door receiver and supplied new radio hand transmitters to match. The problem was instantly solved.
