Garage Doors Eastbourne. A customer in Eastbourne, East Sussex called us out to look at a garage door that was stuck open. On examining the garage door it was discovered that one of the cables had gone slack and this causes the anti-drop mechanism to engage. This mechanism is a spring loaded spike that slots into a hole in the side track to prevent the door falling in the event of a spring or cable failure. We managed to lower the garage door and untangle the twisted cable. Once the garage door cables were under tension again the door could move up and down freely without hindrance.
