We managed to lower the garage door and the Henderson cones and cables were then replaced. The tension on the garage door spring was then increased and all working parts were lubricated. The garage door was now working as good as new.

This is because the end grain of the timber is in direct contact with the wet ground. The existing up and over garage door was removed and set aside. The rotten frame was removed and a new timber frame installed. The new frame was primed and treated before it was fitted. Joinery felt was also placed between the frame and the concrete. A 10mm gap was also left between the frame and the ground. The existing garage door was then re-fitted.

Although this is a very old motor we still keep this drive belt in stock. The belt was replaced and the garage door opener now lifted the garage door without a problem.

A garage door repair in Eastbourne East Sussex: On arrival on site we were instructed that the customer could not gain entry to the garage. It was soon discovered that although the garage door handle turned it was not operating the cables connected to the latches. We managed to access the garage without damaging the garage door. We found that the small platic cam connecting the latches to the garage door handle had broken. This was replaced and the garage door could now be opened and closed from outside.
