The roller shutter garage door has also increased in popularity in recent years. Previously roller shutter doors had a corrugated effect and rolled up into a large roll above the garage door opening. They are also now available in a wide range of colours and the majority of roller shutters are now supplied with a built-in electric motor. As they are vertically opening they offer the same advantages as the sectional door above and the insulated door and rubber seals reduce draughts, keeping the garage and surrounding rooms warmer.
