The garage door was taken down and a new timber garage door frame was fitted. The new frame was treated and primed, ready for painting. Joinery felt was also placed between the bottom of the frame legs and the ground/side walls. This would prevent the end grain of the timber soaking up water and hopefully prolonging the frames life. The door was re-hung on the new frame and a service to the garage door was carried out. Both door and frame should now be good for a few years more.
